Privacy policy
How we use and protect your information.
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how Lake Victoria Resort LLC (“Lake Victoria Resort,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, request or manage a reservation, communicate with the resort, or receive guest services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, mobile number, country, stay dates, party size, reservation details, special requests, support messages, waivers, and communication preferences. We also collect limited technical and transaction information needed to secure the service, prevent fraud, diagnose errors, and maintain an audit history.
Payment card and bank-account details are collected directly by Stripe through Stripe-hosted components. Lake Victoria Resort does not store complete card or bank-account credentials in the PMS.
How we use information
We use information to provide quotes, manage availability, process and support reservations and payments, communicate booking or stay updates, respond to requests, operate resort services, protect guests and the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and improve the guest experience.
SMS and mobile information
If you separately opt in, Lake Victoria Resort may send transactional text messages about your inquiry, waitlist request, reservation, payment, arrival, checkout, or guest-support conversation. Message frequency varies by reservation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in and consent data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose mobile information only to service providers acting for us to deliver and support the messages you requested, or when required by law. Marketing consent, if offered, is separate from transactional-message consent.
When we disclose information
We may disclose the minimum information necessary to service providers that process payments, deliver email or SMS, host the application, store documents, provide security, or support resort operations. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect safety or legal rights, complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards, or when you direct us to do so.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for reservations, guest service, accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and documented retention policies. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to limit access and protect information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to withdraw transactional SMS consent. Reply START to opt in again.
- Use your trip or account settings, when available, to review current information and communication preferences.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete information, subject to identity verification and legal retention requirements.
Children’s privacy
The booking service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit reservation information without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
